Cancellations and rules

At Hoofprints we require 48 hrs notice in writing (text or email please) of any booked lesson to be cancelled, this is to avoid being charged the full lesson amount.  We have a long waiting list and this rule means that other people can fill the cancelled spaces.  This rule is without any exceptions.

As it is now winter we will be getting a little wetter,  on occasions due to dangerous weather conditions we may have to cancel.  Please do not phone ahead to ask, I will contact you directly if I feel the weather is to be too bad to continue.  Please bring coats and gloves.

I will be putting up some shelter for parents to stand under, please DO NOT approach the ponies with umbrellas, horses don't generally like these.

Please may I ask that if you are borrowing hats or boots that you arrive in plenty of time for these to be fitted, we have had an increase in people arriving very late.

Everyone paying for their lessons by Bacs please can you ensure that your lesson is paid for either before or on the day of the lesson, this saves me allot of time having to chase people for payment.

Many Thanks for your cooperation, we try to keep all our students and ponies as safe as possible.  Thank you to those of you who are always really good with time keeping and payment, much appreciated.

I would like to say a big Thank you to everyone who came and supported us at Hoofprints and also Thank you to all the helpers, without you all our day would simply not be possible.

The day ran smoothly despite a few rain showers which was a shame but we still raised a grand total of £1537! we donated 50% of our raffle this year to the RSCA so £255 will be going towards helping more animals in need.  A very good result, and money we can put towards our horse walker, to rehabilitate more horses and ponies who come to Hoofprints.
We have been donated 2 amazing field shelters by Equifabs, they are made with galvanised steel frames and are complete with skids to move about and will never rot! we are feeling very lucky here at Hoofprints.  If you know of anyone looking for field shelters these are definitely the ones to go for.
I would like to thank all my sponsors, GMS Heating and Plumbing, Burgess Building, Bakersteel, ACS Accountants, Kelvine underfloor heating, and Hampden Veterinary Clinic, for their ongoing support.

Happy new year everyone for 2015!

Well to recap on 2014 we had a lovely summer full of fun, we also had some sadness as our beloved Buster who had to go and fly with the angels. We have had the introduction of Brian to our team who has recently been backed and approved by the licening team to be allowed to join our great team of horses, so well done Brian.

Sadly my horse Socks has been off work with a poorly foot most of the year but Nikki hs come on great guns and been taking part in Dressage, she is a long way now from the sadness she suffered.

Harry and Lily who are brother and sister joined the team in November and so ar have proved to be settling well and enjoing their work. A right little matching pair these two!

Recently I have rehomed two mares from the RSPCA, Annie and Juliet, both have had terrible times and are slowely starting to trust us.  They will take some time before joining the working team but I have every confidence they will blossom.

Schroll down and check out previous news and some of our pictures.

Well what a fantastic Summer we have had here at Hoofprints!

Firstly I would like to say a big THANK YOU to my team who are as ever very dedicated and fabulous to work with! another THANK YOU to the wonderful horses who in the past have had a tough time but continue to trust us and give us all the pleasure of working with them, with only the odd squashed finger or toe....

  • Hoofprints raised enough money on the fun day to buy a large double field shelter which is arriving on the 25th September just in time for the winter.
  • We have now successfully opened on Sundays mornings and all the spaces are filling up fast, Kelly has taken on lots of new pupils who are all enjoying lessons with her.
  • Fudge our RSPCA rescue pony joined the lessons 2 months ago and so far has taken it all in his stride, even if it's a little too laid back at times!
  • Connie and Joey took part in their first show in hand and behaved beautifully for 2 young horses, Joey is 2 years and his sister Connie is a yearling.
  • Nikki has been working really well, riding out lots and I discovered after trying to ask her to canter she was definitely a pacer (trotter) and I have lots of work to do retraining her to canter. she is doing her first dressage test on Tuesday 16th Sept. (walk and trot test!)
  • Baloo, Sefton and Socks completed the Waddesdon sponsored ride, we all came back in one piece......just about! Socks nearly broke my foot when he got off the trailer! Kelly nearly fell off when a walker unexpectedly popped out of the bushes! fun times! :o)
  • We have now successfully opened on Sunday mornings and all the spaces are filling up fast, Kelly has taken on lots of new pupils who are all enjoying lessons with her.
  • Kim bought herself an nice new horse called Chloe, sadly Sully had to be sold as he was not going to be big enough
  • Congratulations to Storm and Jasmine who were awarded their 2nd horse shoe in stable management.
  • Congratulations to Abbey Radford, Alice Dymott, Rosie Hall, and Jessica Paul, for being awarded their stage 1 horse shoe in stable management.

We are still looking for land in the area for a long term lease with view to buy to secure Hoofprints future.  I would like to be able to offer some hacking out for the children but the road outside ours is too dangerous and slowly getting worse.  Please keep your ears and eyes open for any opportunities that might suit us.

We have really enjoyed the summer here at Hoofprints and thank each and everyone of you who continue to support us,  We work very hard to ensure everyone has a good time, and our horses most importantly are happy.

Despite the lovely sunshine we are heading into the winter months soon so best to get your coats at the ready.
